My Identical Cousin:  It’s a lovely day, and you and your friends have gathered to do a fun, old-fashioned dungeon crawl. Unfortunately, your DM has other plans! They’ve designed an absolute meat-grinder of a dungeon, hoping to cause a total party kill against you, and they’re not going to stop until you give up. You weren’t ready for this. You don’t have backup characters ready. You’re just going to have to fall back on the time-honoured tradition of scribbling a few new things over your old sheet every time you die, and introduce… your identical cousin!

Our Doomed Hometown: You are ordinary townsfolk, in a small town in a fantastical setting. You are not people of particular power or influence, but you have your own goals, dreams, and lives. Unfortunately, none of that is about to matter, because your town is home to one of the most dangerous beings in existence - a hero. Your home, for all its richness and life, is nothing but the hero’s starting town, and soon it will be overwhelmed by darkness, and you will die. Your only hope is to become narratively important enough that your death is more than just a moment for the Hero to mourn. When Doom comes to your home, will you have become meaningful enough to survive?

The Squintches Steal Christmas: Every Whom down in Whomville likes Christmas a lot… and you’d like to take them for all that they’ve GOT! They’ve been taking your money the whole Christmas season, cutting wages and hours without giving a reason. It could be you’re overreacting tonight. It could be, perhaps, that you shouldn’t now fight. But the true situation, as you’ve all agreed, is that you’ve been pushed too far and now Whomville must bleed.

God of Chores:  You are a demigod, by birth or selection. You strike out against terrible monsters and challenge the most deadly and overwhelming foes in the name of glory and renown, in hopes of one day attaining godhood yourself.  You have been called to a town to deal with personal matters that have little to do with heroism or divine glory. Your divine patrons have made it known that they expect you to handle yourselves well, lest you be disgraced in the eyes of gods and mortals alike, and that you are not to turn this town into a smoking ruin or to the centre of a new cult to your name...
